Every server has one seat that matters. Hold the Wasteland Throne and you rule the realm — tax it, defend it, summon a beast upon it. Lose it and you are just another kingdom in the dust. A throne war looks like chaos, but underneath it is a machine with three levers: dragons, heroes, and timing. Master them and the seat is yours.
The seat, and why it is different
Throne defence is not ordinary defence. The holder fights with a fortify multiplier — the seat pushes back harder than open ground. That is by design: the throne should cost something to take. But we tuned it deliberately soft, so a single decisive strike can still break it. The message is simple — the throne is always contestable.
The dragon ladder
Dragons are the loudest lever on the board. Their weight scales as 4^(level−1) — each tier is four times the last. A Level 5 is not “a bit better” than a Level 4; it is four of them.
One premium beast can swing a siege that a full army could not.
The takeaway for commanders: farming Level 4s is fine for grinding, but if you intend to take the throne, one Level 5 in the lead rally is worth more than a wall of lesser dragons.
Bring your best dragon, or do not bring a dragon at all.
The hero edge
Heroes now stack a role-based factor into every battle. This rewards composition over mass: the right hero leading the right army bends the curve in your favour before a single troop is lost. Raw numbers still matter — but two equal armies are decided by who leads them.
Timing is the third dragon
The best rally is the one that lands when the defender is thin. Watch the throne garrison, coordinate with your alliance, and commit when the holder has just spent their defence elsewhere. A perfectly timed strike beats a bigger, sloppier one — because the seat fortify multiplier punishes half-measures and rewards decisiveness.
A commander’s checklist
- Lead with your highest dragon. Level beats count — 4× per tier.
- Match hero to army. The role factor is free strength.
- Strike the gap. Hit when the garrison is thin, not when it is fed.
- Commit fully. The soft-but-fortified throne punishes hesitation.
- Coordinate the rally. One clean alliance strike beats three solo pokes.
The throne is waiting. It is contestable by design — which means it is yours to take, if you bring the right beast at the right moment. See you on the seat.
